[glow=red,2,300]Chapter Ten-[/glow] Bellatrix was down, but most certainly not out. That night seemed like so long ago but it was amazing how much life had changed for the Dark Lord in just the short six weeks since her accident. The night that he had first held Bellatrix Lestrange in his arms was the night he fell in love with her. He had watched her face, distorted in grim concentration, as she tried to relinquish her hold on her own being, her own feelings. As she tried not to cry out and break down. In that moment, he knew how strong she was. She who had survived countless cruciatus curses from he, the most powerful dark wizard ever and then stood there and took a powerful ancient protection spell from Albus Dumbledore. She was too good to be true. She was almost like a warior goddess, resolved, determined, powerful and intoxicating. He loved her, every inch of her and with every inch he loved her the more he dispised himself. But oh he did want her. He wanted to be with her and to hold her. He wanted to know her, not only as another snivelling, gravelling servant, but as an equal. This, unfortunately, would not happen, could not happen. Not with Rodolphus around anyway... In a way, Bellatrix and Rodolphus reminded him of Pettigrew and himself. Snivelling around, doing the others bidding. Enjoying it even. Unable to think for themself and undeserving of what they have. What others crave... He stopped these were the thoughts that drove him wild. He sighed, thinking of Bella. All alone.... in the same room that she had not left for the past six weeks while Snape fed her potions and some damned houself saw to her every need. In a way, he was jealous of that greaseball and that little despicable creature. They got to see her, care for her, while everyone else was exiled from her room. The only time she had company was the occasional visit from Narcissa, and Rodolphus's visits to her rooms three, often four times a day. He needed a plan. He would make her his. It didn't matter that she was a pure-blood who would be wasted on him, a half-blood. None of it mattered anymore. Nothing, that is, except Bellatrix Lestrange.

[glow=red,2,300]Chapter 11-[/glow] Bellatrix lay alone in her room. The curtains were drawn around her bed and she lay with her eyes closed. The door creaked open and the room was filled with a shadow. "Severus." She greeted him, still not opening her eyes. "Bellatrix." He replied. Clearly, he was not pleased to be doing this. "Is something the matter?" "No nothing, nothing at all." He answered sarcastically. "If you have a problem with helping me-." "Helping you? Hardly. But it is not my being upset with playing nursemaid to a woman I hate that has me down today..." She smiled sweetly, her pale drawn lips, grinning innocently at him. "Then what, pray tell, would be the cause of your unhappiness, Snape?" "It is nothing at all, Bellatrix, now may I suggest that you take this potion so that I can go and attend to more pressing matters?" Bella sighed dramatically, "More pressing, perhaps, than my impending demise?" "Yes. Far more pressing." He muttered, not amused. "If you do not tell me I shall have to use my influence..." "You have no influence." "My powers then." He glared at her and headed towards the door. "Give the goblet to the elf when you have-" She cut him off. "Ligilimens!" Flashes. Anger. Hatred. Abandonment. Exile. Treachory.... "You.....you......you are betraying us! Betraying HIM!" Snape turned back, in an almost murderous rage. He came over to her, his hand over her mouth. "If you speak so much as another word, I will let you die." Bella was silent. Death. One of her biggest fears. But if the Dark Lord found out that she had known and did not tell him..... "I'll die then!! But I must tell him....." "Bellatrix! If you speak then I shall let Rodolphus die." She froze. "You...what?" "I want you to make the Unbreakable Vow." "Severus!" She gasped. "Bellatrix." He met her gaze with a challenging stare. "All right, I shall." She relented, kneeling before him and taking his hands in her own. "I, Bellatrix Black-Lestrange, vow to never reveal to anyone, under any circumstances, the information I have just learned about Severus Snape. I will not reveal that he is an innocent, muggle-loving, piece of filth unworthy of worshipping the Dark Lord." Snape glared at her, but did not withdraw his hand. "I, Severus Snape, solemnly vow to provide Bellatrix Black-Lestrange with the information that will save the life of her beloved husband, and to save her from the effects of the curse placed upon her by Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore." Two rings of light shot out around their hands and encircled together. Bellatrix stood, looking weaker than ever having used magic for the first time in two months. "And now our fate is forever entwined."

[glow=red,2,300]Chapter Twelve-[/glow] "So you're going to kill him, are you?" He knew it was her. How did she get in here without him noticing?! "Well, can't you even face the woman you are about to turn into a widow?" She asked challengingly. He turned around slowly and when he saw her inhaled sharply. "Bella!" He exclaimed. That one little word, her name, was filled with such intense longing and ardent admiration but also a little bit of fear. Which, she knew, was directed toward her appearance. Her hair had calmed down now, after she had run a comb through it a few times. It hung midway down her back, straighter than one would have imagined. It was silky black and Voldemort knew it would be smooth, oh so smooth, to touch. Her eyes were watery and dark circles were beneath them. She was pale, even more pale than usual and her lips matched the color of her skin. She wore long, black robes. They were not as revealing nor as...sexy as her usual clothes. She looked beautifully mystifying and somehow majestic: like a dark queen. A queen of death, of sin...of temptation. She smiled, obviously pleased with his reaction as she began to pace. "Poison...." She muttered quietly, "Not your usual style, not what I would have chosen but it could do the job..." Voldemort began to object, but she held up a hand, silencing him. Immediately he stoped. He felt like one of the Death Eaters standing before himself. It was fascinating! And the way she looked...and how she COMMANDED him. She sat down in his throne, clearly comfortable with this change of scene. Her long, thin fingers gently traced the unique carvings around the arms of the chair. He looked at her, surprised. Even Nagini did not seem to mind this change of position. She flicked her tongue at her master and slither up the arm of the chair. Bella smiled, patting the snake lightly on top of the head. She waited for him to speak. "Bellatrix...." "My Lord?" "Use my real name." She hesitated. She never spoke the name. "Later, perhaps." "No....say it now?" It was not a command, but a question. A plea. "Why should I?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. His voice sounded different, almost passionate as he spoke. "Because we both know that I am not your Master any more than you are my servant." "I will always be your humble servant, My Lord." He tried a change of tactic. "Do you know /why/ I wish to...do away with your husband?" "He has not served you well?" "Because I want you." It was so frank and straight forward, Bella had not expected it, "My Lord?" The two stared at each other for a moment, the room filled with an intense longing. A connection more powerful than the one between the two wands of Lord Voldemort and Harry Potter. There was a knock at the door. "Lestrange, My Lord." said a Death Eater whose name was of no importance to Bellatrix. "It's time." The Dark Lord whispered. "But the poison...?" "Was the back-up plan." Bella gaped at him. "What?" "You think, Bellatrix, that I could not plan without my Death Eaters? Well you are wrong. Now come, My Love, it is time for him to die....and for you to forever be mine."

[glow=red,2,300]Chapter Thirteen- The End.[/glow] "Bella?" Rodolphus asked, once he had entered the room. There she was, sitting on his throne, Nagini coiled around the arm and Voldemort gazing up at her. It was definitely a change of scene and he could take it as only one thing: she had finally gotten what she wanted. He was quite happy for her. But Bella did not answer him. It was almost as if she hadn't heard him. She was staring at Voldemort with a look of almost fear on her face. And Bella, Rodolphus knew, had never known fear. She had never had any reaction to it. It was almost as though she were immune. Completely and utterly immune. Indeed, Bellatrix was always the CAUSE of fear. And the way she was looking at him was the way so many had looked at *her*, the Longbottems and countless others... Then Lord Voldemort spoke. "Do you know why were summoned here, Rodolphus?" Somehow, while Bella was sitting in his throne, the situation was far less threatening to Rodolphus."No, My Lord." "Why don't you tell him why, Bella." She looked away, out the window and past Nagini. She never answered. "Bellatrix?" The Dark Lord asked again. "Voldemort?" She asked, meeting his gaze. "Tell him." She still could not refuse him, even though he had practically released her of servitude. Rodolphus watched this exchange fascinated, yet still a little anxious. Why would she not tell him? "You are going to die." She said slowly, still not looking at her husband. "I am... My Lord?" The Dark Lord nodded his head. "For what reasons my Lord?" "Don't ask reasons! When the Dark Lord says you deserve to die, you deserve to die!!" He spat angrily, venomously. "But, My Lord!!" He was desperate. His large brown eyes looked imploringly up at Bella. If anyone could help him out of this, she could. "Don't make eyes at her," Voldemort said irritably, "You are not getting out of this one, Lestrange. I'm sorry it has to end this way. Bellatrix. Come here." Bella looked back at him and stood, slowly making her way toward him she looked at Rodolphus and sighed. She still hadn't figured out how she could help....She stood beside the Dark Lord, staring at the face of her husband. "My Lord?" "Kill him." "Me? But, My Lord..." "It has to be of your own free will, Bellatrix. If you want all that you have said you want make it happen. The world is not a place for those who are weak and there is definitely no place beside me for own who cannot root out the weaklings and dispose of them." It was a challenge. /Oh, have me kill anyone else!!/ Bella thought to herself, /Anyone but him!/ "If you want it, Bella..." "Rodolphus. Leave us. Now." He stood to go, wondering what she could possibly say to him. When he had left, Voldemort sighed, making his way over to Nagini and patting her on the head. "I knew you could not do it, Bella." "But, My Lord...." "Leave me!" His voice shook with rage and he would not even look at her. Bellatrix walked swiftly to the doorway then paused. Snape had told her what she had to do. Now she only hoped she could trust that treasonous snake. Quietly, she walked up behind Lord Voldemort. She was so silent, she was not even sure that he had heard her. Her hand went to hust shoulder and she placed her arms around his neck. "You don't have to kill my husband," She whispered in his ear, "To make me yours." "I do not?" She shook her head. "I am forever your servant, my master. Humbly waiting to do your bidding." He smiled, the first true smile in the longest time. And then it faded, as her lips were pressed to his. And that was the reward she had been longing for.

[shadow=red,left,300]font=Simpson]Epilogue-[/font] [/shadow] Rodolphus was happy. His life had been spared thanks to the intervention of his wife. They had grown closer. Indeed, they now shared a great friendship that others were quite envious. Narcissa and Lucius found themselves back in the Dark Lord's favor, their house now being used as headquarters. Draco was a Death Eater, but he had not been killed for failing to kill Dumbledore thanks, once again, to his Auntie Bellatrix. Although, he would never know that of course. Bellatrix and the Dark Lord kept it all a hidden secret. After all, he would not be known as having the capability to feel these things: romance, passion, caring and....yes, love. The Dark Lord could love. The night he died, was the first night in his life he had ever felt the longing to die. He didn't care anymore. Bellatrix, his one and only love, the only one who could ever make him see any light in the world. A true light in the darkness.

Aw, the last part is really sad. But it's good to know that they had loved each other, at least for a while. You did a great job writing this story! It's a pity that it's over now, but I'm glad that you finished it
